Four Hot Must Have Gadgets: Cool Mobile Technology

1) G’zOne water resistant cell phone

For people who have a habit of talking on the phone while standing in the rain (or shower). This thing can withstand water up to 3 feet in depth and also has a 2 megapixel camera that can take pictures and video under waterAnd according to Casio, it can take heat in excess of 140 degrees Fahrenheit – Sauna anyone? 2) Nokia N93 Golf Phone

This baby has a built in camera that will analyze your golf swing on the fly, and even measure distance to the pin. To get your score down, you’ll have to pay about 10 times more than you otherwise would for a Nokia phone, and you’ll also have to buy your buddy an extra beer so he can hold the phone/camera steady while you take your swings. For more information go to www.nokia.com/N93golf

3) Gigaset SL74X

A cordless phone that puts high profile encryption software to use to prevent snoops from listening in on your phone calls. This type of technology was previously available, but you had to bug a room and then stay in that room with your cordless. Now you can roam to your hearts content, and you won’t have to worry about privacy. For more information go to www.siemins.com

4) Robonova-I

Image of Robonova-IOkay, so this doesn’t have much to do with PDA’s or Smartphones, but it is just too damn cool not to include. The Robonova-I comes in two flavors – one for the uber geek, which requires assembly and programming, and another for the less technically inclined, which comes preprogrammed with about 40 moves. The company, Hitec Robotics, claims you can even program it to do a backflip.

To get him to move, you have to connect the robot to your computer, then program it using the company’s programming language. But, you don’t have to really know the language. It has a capture feature that lets you manipulate the robot by hand, and it will automatically program the features into the device! Way cool. For more information go to www.hitecrobotics.com
