The recently introduced Motorola cell phone aura is  available  in Germany from December 2008 in a limited and numbered edition at The Phone House with price 1,999 euros.

The Aura looks not only like a luxury-clock, also the manufacturing process is reminiscent of a Swiss watchmaker workshop: 700 components were, according to the manufacturer's carefully interwoven added, sapphire glass with 162 carats protects the display and the casing is made of coated stainless steel. Its production is only two weeks.  The mobile phone opens on a rotating mechanism, whose stock actually from a Swiss precision workshop dates. The wheels are made of hardened steel and coated, also  high-performance engines are used. The keyboard also promises aluminum durability. Highlight and eye-catcher is certainly in the display. This is not only in the unusual round shape, but also to the extremely high resolution of 480 pixels in diameter. They are together-squeezed on 1,55 inch, which corresponds to a pixel density of 300 DPI. Podium training courses and edges unsightly thus should be excluded.

For the remaining equipment on the other hand, Motorola has saved. The 2-megapixel camera on the back is only for snapshots and MMS greetings fit. A music player completes the multimedia functions. Additionally, the aura about 2 gigabytes of internal memory, but not with the memory cards can be upgraded. That a luxury mobile phone at all times bear, you can feel in the pocket. At dimensions of 96x48x18, 5 millimeters, it will be quick to close and downward to 141 grams. Nokia shows with the 8800 Arte, that noble mobile phones can also be build more narrowly. It is not easier, however.
