Today AT&T announced an update to the Cingular 8525, although it wasn't the highly anticipated upgrade to Windows Mobile 6.  Nonetheless the ROM Upgrade announced on HTC's website will probably make your device a little less buggy and the like.  Actually, we don't know for sure what this update will do because netiher AT&T nor HTC published that information.

The upgrade will take approximately 20 minutes, and it WILL erase everything you have saved (that is because it is a ROM upgrade).  However, you can still restore your data via activesync, but be careful.
