Android Market, the download platform for Google's mobile operating system Android, keen exploited since its opening by both users and developers. As a study by market research firm Medialets shows that the success of the Android Markets comparable to the App Store for the iPhone.

Since its opening on 27 October 2008, the offer of 167 software programs tripled. The bulk of them are as games and tools categorized. The App Store, Apple already included 550 programs. A large part of which was paid for, in Android Market applications can be downloaded free of charge so far.

Google still publishes no exact figures on downloads out, summarizes the various applications of its popularity, divided into groups however.
